Director

Karina is a mother of 4 wonderful kids. She has been married to the love of her life, Julio, for 19 years. Joanna Puello and Karina have been friends for many years and are super excited to bring this new Preschool to the World Upside Down offerings. Karina studied Elementary Education at Bob Jones University. She spent six summers running a day camp in the Dominican Republic. Children ages 2-12 came every week ready to experience fun educational activities. Karina had the privilege of homeschooling her 2 oldest children for several years. She gave them a love for learning, showed them how to become independent learners, and gave them a God perspective on everything. Karina loves Jesus and is not shy to share His love with adults and children. She is very excited about God’s timing with Discovery Preschool and can’t wait to pour God’s love into your children and educate them in a fun and hands-on way.

Preschool Half-Day Hours

We offer two schedule options for our K3-K4 students. 

Schedule 1: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday
Schedule  2: Tuesday and Thursday   

Enrollment Requirements

**All students enrolling in the K3 (three’s) class must be fully potty trained and must be age 3 on or before September 1st.
**All students enrolling in the K4 (four’s) class must be fully potty trained and age 4 on or before September 1st.

Curriculum

Our curriculum allows students to explore God’s creation using all the senses, through play, art, music, projects, and Biblical stories. Our classes cover the following:

  • Phonics (K3 and K4), Numbers, Language and Development
  • Handwriting (K4)
  • Hands-on Science (K4)
  • Developmentally appropriate learning centers
  • Puzzles and Manipulatives
  • Music, Art, and Spanish (Weekly)
  • Activities to develop gross and fine motor skills
  • Playtime (Daily)
  • Bible stories with application to real-life
  • Character development based on the fruit of the Spirit

Sign Up Today

Step 1: Register on Procare
Apply for entry into our preschool program by filling out the Procare registration form on our website. Our customer service specialist will confirm details about your enrollment:

  • Two or three days/week
  • Annual or monthly plan
  • Start date

Step 2: Complete Your Registration

After your student has been accepted, you can complete your registration on Procare and download the app. This may include signing waivers, acknowledging reading the handbook, and more.

Step 3: Secure Your Spot

Our customer service specialist will send you an invoice for registration and tuition fees and will set up your payment plan. Once you make your first payment, you can secure your spot. When you set up your payment method, Procare will default to autopay. You can change this at any time.

Discovery Preschool FAQs

Parents can choose one of two options.

Schedule 1: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 

Schedule  2: Tuesday and Thursday

Classes run from 8:30 AM - 12:00PM.
Carline dropoff starts at 8:20 AM.
Carline pickup starts at 12:00 PM.
Late pickup starts at 12:15 PM.

All students enrolling in the K3 (three’s) class must be fully potty trained and must be age three on or before September 1st.
All students enrolling in the K4 (four’s) class must be fully potty trained and age 4 on or before September 1st.

Classes start August 19, 2024, and end May 19, 2025.

We follow the Greenville County Public School calendar for closures on major holidays, Christmas, and Spring Break. We are open on days when Greenville County Public Schools have teacher workdays.

Parents who enroll their students in the Discovery Preschool program commit to making ten monthly payments beginning August 19, 2024, through May 22, 2025. We can prorate as needed for late starters. 

Pricing for tuition depends on the schedule you choose.
Schedule 1: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday ($320/month)
Schedule  2: Tuesday and Thursday ($220/month)
Application Fee: $100 (new student)
Supplies Fee: $100 (yearly charge)
Billing Support Fee: $50 (yearly charge)

All tuition fees are due before students can start. After the first invoices have been paid (for application, supplies, and first month of tuition), payments must be made monthly before the 1st of each month.

Get a 5% siblings discount which applies to payments for all siblings enrolled in the Discovery Preschool program.

Get a 5% discount for paying for the full year of tuition (no other discounts included).

We can prorate tuition for late starters but cannot prorate tuition for back pay and time missed due to illness or travel.
