Art classes

Art classes run semester-long and are charged monthly at an average cost of $78/month for weekly classes. See Policies and Pricing for more information on pricing, payments, discounts, and scholarships.

Most of our classes run for the entirety of the spring and fall semesters, and we need a minimum number of students to launch a class. So if you see a class you like which is not running, get on the waitlist and help us spread the word so we can launch.

Mixed Media with Abigail Aeschliman

Elementary & Middle School | Tues or Thurs | $78/mth | 45 min

This class explores various artistic themes through a combination of painting, drawing, collaging, and paper craft. Each week, students learn about the basic building blocks of art, such as shape, line, color, and value. We take time to introduce and experience each element so that students feel comfortable and familiar with their own artistic expression. Rather than focusing on one particular medium, students get to engage with many different art forms and build skill in each area. In this class, children will both learn to express themselves on a canvas, and broaden a skill set they already have. Each lesson is split between two 45-minute sessions in order to produce a detailed and complex art piece. At the end of each period of classes, students get the chance to display and talk about their artwork.
